The new learning requires the minimum use of space of the functional program but it creates sufficient spaces for meetings, communication and the creation of relationships. These areas are set partially in the existing building and are an important criterion for the good quality of functionality.
Through an accurate stimulus, the existing transitional surfaces are activated as a multifunctional medium zone, added to the existing building, creating that way an internal unity. The central hall is designed as an open area lounge and its spatial context in collaboration with the extended part create areas with natural light and ventilation.
Through the connection of the split level, a spatial and atmospherical synthesis is created next to the existing learning areas. Therefore the classrooms are situated next to areas where free learning and communication of the students are enhanced.
