[ABSTRACT OF THE JURY- PROTOCOL]
The urban development of the project is convincing due to the creative and functional unity of the existing building with the new design, regarding the clear internal circulation.
The floor plan configuration allows multiple use, which is rated very positive for the individual work in the day care (different degrees of disability of the residents) also in a sense of small groups with different care and activity claims.
The traffic development of the day care meets the tender criteria (bring and pick-up service) and the pedestrian connection to the park. The orientation of all rooms to the south and east (no north rooms) is valued as a very positive aspect of the project.
The south-facing loggias and also the park-oriented balconies in each floor provide optimal use for the residents throughout the day (sun and shade). The structure of the new building, with its strongly embossed base zone and the bed tract above, is well structured and the functions are easy to read from outside. The spaciously covered terrace on the north side forms a successful transition from the living area „day care“ to the park.
The clear floor plan solutions with their open structure ensure a good orientation in all storeys. Options for expansion are shown comprehensible. The use of the public areas in the extension is optimal in its design for individual day care and also allows living in the rooms.
All floors have a well-integrated outdoor area, which is very good in size and shape. The room layout still leaves enough space for individual design.
